Social media and audience development assistant

 

This is an exciting freelance role for an ambitious and resourceful individual to support the development and delivery of Blitz social media campaigns, as well as a strategy for audience development. Working with the Director, you will focus on developing engaging content for social media platforms and monitoring the success of Blitz initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience working with social media and/or digital marketing in a creative environment; possess excellent writing skills; and the ability to use initiative to develop engaging content for Blitz.

This is a part-time freelance role for two months, with the possibility to extend for an additional month, at an hourly rate of €10.

Blitz Internships

Our internship programme offers the opportunity to get hands-on working experience in an arts space by gaining valuable insight in working on interesting projects and learning new skills. Previous experience of working in a museum or a gallery is not a requirement, although could be considered an asset. Our aim is to create opportunity for those interested in this field. Interns will be involved in a variety of activities, starting from the run up to an upcoming exhibition to the day to day activities of the organisation, handling pr, manning the space and organising events. These opportunities will be offered to individuals who show passion and dedication for contemporary arts practice in its variety of forms. Excellent writing and communication skills are a must and experience in social media will be considered an asset.

The position is not exclusive to students, although as part of ongoing studies in the arts, an internship such as this would prove to be a very valuable source of hands-on learning. We are especially interested in undergraduate, postgraduate and research students who are studying arts and cultural management, marketing, museum studies and arts administration.

Our internship programme is open to anyone aged over 18 and currently residing in Malta.
Internships are offered at 4-6 week periods and will start in January 2018.
